Babumoshai Bandookbaaz Landed In A Controversy With CBFC!
“Babumoshai Bandookbaaz” starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Bidita Bag takes a step down as the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) demands 48 cuts in the film. The director, producers, and co-producer of the film raise a voice against the suggestion, as the film will lose its essence if 48 cuts would happen. The director Kushan Nandy on wednesday said, No harm in certifying the film “A” to CBFC. The list of 48 cuts that has been given to kushan, states the careless and harsh behavior of CBFC.
Kushan also talked to the director of CBFC but he said, “I would have banned the film because of excessive abusive language used in the film”. Kushan said, being a film from a rural background the language has to be like that.
The co-producer of the film Kiran Shroff said that, some of the CBFC members had said the obnoxious language about her will discussing the film. The producers had lodged a complaint with Indian Film and Television Directors’ Association (IFTDA).
The release date of the film was in June 2017 but because of chaos the date is longing forward. What’s your opinion on this film?
