Its Confirmed! Hrithik Roshan Replaces Ranveer Singh For IPL Opening Ceremony
After Ranveer Singh had to drop out of performing at the IPL opening ceremony on April 7 because of his injured shoulder, speculations began that Kaabil actor Hrithik Roshan would replace him. Now, the Hrithik has himself confirmed the news on Twitter. The actor wrote, “Yes I can officially confirm that I will be performing for the opening ceremony of IPL. I have already started rehearsing for it. It will be fun to perform in front of a live audience once again.”
From the reports, it looks like he will be performing on songs like Senorita (Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara), Baware (Luck By Chance), Dhoom Machale (Dhoom) as well as the iconic song from his debut film, Ek Pal Ka Jeena (Kaho Naa Pyaar Hain).
Besides Hrithik, Jacqueline Fernandez and Varun Dhawan are also slated to perform at the ceremony at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, while Parineeti Chopra has also reportedly pulled out of performing at the event.
As for Ranveer, the actor is working on Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy as well as Simmba. After he injured himself during a football match, the actor went on social media to announce, “Thank you for the good wishes, everyone. I’m good. It’s just a labral tear in my left shoulder. I intend to come back stronger. Love you all.”
