Bollywood’s handsome hunk Arjun Kapoor has officially turned thirty-three today. Cue “Hua Chhokra Jawan re”. Arjun Kapoor stole our hearts ever since his debut movie alongside Parineeti Chopra. The 2012 romantic drama was Arjun’s debut film, which also introduced Parineeti Chopra and the harrowing tale of two unconventional lovers earned Arjun a Filmfare awards nomination for Best debut – male.  written and directed by Habib Faisal, and produced by  Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films, the movie was a critical and box office success.

2. 2 STATES

Arjun became India’s sweetheart after he played a romantic writer on screen in an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s 2 States. The comical romance movie also starring Alia Bhatt was produced by Karan Johar and Sajid Nadiadwala and was a hit among the young generation. It solidified his place in Bollywood as a mainstream artist.

Written and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and produced by Aditya Chopra, 2014 Indian action thriller film was set in 1971–1988 Calcutta. Arjun’s Gunday is a story about two best friends and outlaws, who fall in love with a cabaret dancer, which causes rivalry and misunderstandings between them. It also starred Priyanka Chopra opposite to Arjun and the Indian audience got to see a different and aggressive side to Arjun’s talent.

4. KI & KA

Arjun proves his versatility by playing an unconventional stay at home husband in Ki & Ka. The 2016 Indian romantic comedy film written, directed, and produced solely by R. Balki, who was also the man behind Paa. Arjun’s love interest in the movie was played by Kareena Kapoor. The film follows a young, married couple contradicting the gender roles placed upon women and men in Indian society.

Currently, the birthday boy is working on his second movie with Parineeti and a sequel to Namaste London called Namaste England. We can’t wait to go watch the movie when it hits the big screen!
