Thugs of Hindostan

The film is reported to be based on Philip Meadows Taylor’s 1839 novel Confessions of a Thug, which tells the story of a cult of thugs in British India. Aamir Khan portrays the role of the protagonist Ameer Ali, the leader of the cult of thugs.
