Deepika Padukone looks breathtakingly beautiful in the evening standard photo shoot
Deepika Padukone has yet again made headlines for being featured on the cover of London based magazine, Evening Standard. ‘Divine Deepika’ read the magazine cover page that featured the Padmavat actress in a classy white tie-up jumpsuit, complemented by a messy bun and subtle make-up.
In the interview with the magazine, Deepika touched on varied topics like the initial difficulties faced by her when she came into the field of acting, sexism in the entertainment business and her struggle with depression.
‘There were lots of things I was advised to do. To get a boob job, do the beauty pageants. They felt it was the right way to be recognised or picked up by a Bollywood director or producer. It might be an easier way to achieve what you want to achieve. But I haven’t been that person; I’ve always followed my gut’, said Padukone recalling her early experiences in Bollywood.
Deepika also posted in a stylish brown leather trench coat for the magazine. Photographed by Buzz White Studio, she was styled by Nicky Yates and art director Dee Acharya.
‘While I feel like, not just the conversation, but actions are moving in the right direction, we still have a bit to go before we truly understand the meaning of diversity’, said the actress while addressing the issue of racial diversity in Hollywood.
