Kangana Ranaut is all set to reunite with director Anurag Basu, who introduced this feisty actress to Bollywood in his film Gangster.
It has been confirmed that Kangana will be seen in Basu’s romantic drama Imali.
Ranaut has previously worked with Basu in Life in a Metro and Kites.
Although, there were rumours floating around that Basu’s decision to devote more attention to Hrithik Roshan’s and Barbara Mori’s characters in Kites had caused some tensions between him and Kangana but the announcement of the new film has put all the speculations to rest.
Kangana, who’s shooting for Mental Hai Kya with Rajkumar Rao in London, gave a very measured response to this new development.
‘It’s too early to talk about Imali as we are starting the film around the end of the year.
All I can say is that Anurag is my godfather and everything I am today is because of him. I can’t wait to go back to the beginning’, said the Queen actor.
It is being reported that the production process for Imali will begin at the end of 2018 as Kangana is busy with the biopic Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi and Ashwini Iyer Tiwari’s sports drama.
The male lead for Imali is yet to be finalized.
