Sahir Lodhi’s first ever movie ‘Raasta’ is ready to be grace cinemas and theaters all over Pakistan this March.
The movie has a wide ranging music covering every genre. Raasta’s music was launched earlier this month with a great fanfare at Port Grand, Karachi. The movie has Sahir Lodhi’s as lead along with other big names like, Aijaz Aslam, Shamoon Abbasi, Sana Nawaz, Naveed Raza and Abeer Rivzi. The music is well crafted by Saji Ali and Kamran Akhtar.
At the music launch, every performer made sure that the audience rejoice the night and the music is well displayed with energetic dance performances. Sahir however, stole the show with not only his performances but also with his words.
Sahir despite of being surrounded by various issue in his personal life, majorly his daughter not being well. However, he made sure that his attitude only exhibits positive energy for everyone around of.
Here is what Sahir shared with us behind the stage:
“I just want to request everyone to focus on music and music industry as well, just like we are working day in and day out to revive music industry of Pakistan. Besides, that my 14 months old daughter is hospitalized so I wouldn’t like to talk into things much. I am glad that the setup here is huge and everyone has put in great efforts. Although my heart is heavy yet I am here to fulfill my commitment.”
Just after his entry performance, Sahir took the stage the express his grief over the current turmoil in the country.
Here is what he said:
“Just now when we are performing here, there are people crying in Sehwan due to a recent blast. And people in trouble in every corner of our country. However, we shall not be discouraged from working, performing and fulfilling our commitments. However, there is one thing we can all do here for our own people in troubles, its praying. Let us all stand together and pray for people suffering everywhere is Pakistan and specially in Sehwan where a fresh incident has taken so many precious lives. And just when you pray for peace for all of us, pray a word of health for my daughter as well.”
Sahir during the performance not only showed his commitment to work but also that his heart beats with Pakistan and bleeds when Pakistan aches.
